Privacy Policy

Your privacy is extremely important. I am committed to looking after your personal information and handling it in a responsible manner. If you have any queries about any aspect of my data management, please contact hello@therapy.scot.

Any personal data provided by you is stored securely, and only the minimum required is kept. I use a secure, encrypted email service. I may keep a record of your telephone number and email address digitally on a laptop and/or mobile phone depending on what you have provided. These are used for routine communications with you and no other purpose. These are connected to a unique ID number so that I may identify you without storing a digital record of your name. I hold a record of your name and any other details you have offered (for example, date of birth, name of GP, address) separately as hard copy that is stored safely and separately from digital records. Any notes I keep about you are stored digitally using your unique ID with no means of identifying you by name.

I will not share your information with any third parties unless:
You have explicitly requested or consented to this.
It is as part of my duty to protect a child, a vulnerable adult, yourself or the public.
I am required to do so by law.
It is to protect the rights, property or safety of myself.

You have the right to know what data I hold about you. This is called your ‘subject access rights’. If you want me to stop using or delete your personal data, please contact me.
