Privacy Policy

Your privacy is extremely important. I am committed to looking after your personal information and handling it in a responsible manner. If you have any queries about any aspect of my data management, please contact hello@therapy.scot.

Any personal data provided by you is stored securely, and only the minimum required is kept. I use a secure, encrypted email service. I may keep a record of your telephone number and email address digitally on a laptop and/or mobile phone depending on what you have provided. These are used for routine communications with you and no other purpose. These are connected to a unique ID number so that I may identify you without storing a digital record of your name. I hold a record of your name and any other details you have offered separately as hard copy that is stored safely and separately from digital records. Any notes I keep about you are stored digitally using your unique ID with no means of identifying you by name.

I will not share your information with any third parties unless:
You have explicitly requested or consented to this.
It is as part of my duty to protect a child, a vulnerable adult, yourself or the public.
I am required to do so by law.
It is to protect the rights, property or safety of myself.

You have the right to know what data I hold about you. This is called your ‘subject access rights’. If you want me to stop using or delete your personal data, please contact me.
